This year’s fair was a great international success, with the participation of 11 countries, it has been decisive thanks to INFO’s trade missions
THE 64TH EDITION WILL RETURN IN MAY 2026
The Yecla Furniture Fair (FMY) closed its 63rd edition last Friday with an improvement in visitor perception and turnover for participating companies. This was one of the first assessments made by the director of the event, Juan Miguel Zornoza, once the exhibition centre had closed its doors.
With this year’s FMY slogan ‘Asiento, a veces siento’ (‘I sit, sometimes I feel’), there has been a clear commitment to highlighting furniture manufacturers’ importance, represented in the advertising graphic by a juggler. This is a metaphor for those Yeclano entrepreneurs who, through hard work and determination, have made Yecla and the Region of Murcia the heart of this sector.
As proof, more than 90 companies exhibited their products at the Yecla habitat fair and conveyed to the Executive Committee the ‘positive vibes’ felt throughout the exhibition halls, with many of them reporting an increase in turnover compared to last year’s edition.

The event’s international success has been especially important thanks to the trade missions organised by the Institute of Development (INFO) and supported by the Regional Association of Furniture and Wood Manufacturers of the Region of Murcia (AREMA), which this year has focused mainly on European and Asian countries, but also on the emerging African market.
Over two days, purchasing advisors and buyers from 11 countries visited the fair and its exhibitors, creating a unique opportunity for exhibitors to boost their presence in the international market. Delegations came from Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, England, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, France, Italy, Morocco, and Switzerland.
A COMMITMENT TO CONTRACT AND TRAINING
Another of the Executive Committee’s initiatives during the 63rd edition was training and its commitment to contract work, with the holding of the ‘International Contract Conference. Strategic international markets close to home: Morocco, the UK and Portugal. Key factors, challenges and opportunities,’ organised by INFO and coordinated by David Cámara, which featured a panel of top-level experts.
As well as the second edition of the masterclass given by the renowned architect Paolo Mauri, ‘Contract, Interior Design and Hotel Equipment’. The talk was divided into four thematic blocks aimed at teaching participants how to develop and lead a complete hotel project, from the conceptual proposal to its execution and final delivery.
The commitment to research and innovation is always present at the exhibition centre through our companies, but above all through the participation of the Murcia Region Furniture and Wood Technology Centre (CETEM), which this year has presented an innovative research line based on using insect farming to tackle one of the sector’s major challenges: managing plastic waste such as polyurethane foam.
In addition, it is worth highlighting the partnerships between the FMY and Arema, with its Annual Award ceremony, this year won by the Yecla-based company SANCAL. Another notable partnership is with the COAC and its commercial agents specialised in the furniture sector. This year, it has once again recognised two of its members for their professional careers spanning more than 40 years.
