Reconnecting again in May 2022
From the Yecla Furniture Fair (FMY) Executive Committee we want to express our gratitude for having managed to make a great event, thanks to the cooperation of the great relational, human and professional ecosystem that we are. Thank you, thank you, thank you and so on up to more than 7,000 acknowledgements, one for each professional who has trusted and participated in this very special 59th edition, the reconnection one, the one that coincides with our 60th birthday, a date that we will always remember.
During four intense days, the furniture family, timber and allied industries reconnected once again. This great industry cluster: interconnected companies, customers and institutions, has become a fractal that continues to expand. The exhibition site is now closed, although the energy remains strong to continue to take the next steps towards the next edition, the 60th, which will take place in the penultimate week of May. We are proud of all the work done during these months, by the great reconnection, and by hearing again the aisles and stands full of life during the past few days, from 20 to 23 October.
For this reason, we would like to thank many people and institutions that have made it possible for us to personally meet again. First of all, it is only fair, to the great family that makes up the furniture, timber and related industries. Their resilience during the health situation, their strength to face a situation never experienced before and their ability to continue growing, despite the circumstances, deserves the first of our applause.
And what would the fair be without our exhibiting companies, the true asset of each and every show edition and the reason why this year, visitors have exceeded all our attendance records. This year you have massively filled our house with your presence and your products.
It is also vital for FMY to highlight all the work and effort made by each and every one of the people who form part of the organisation and structure of the fair, a silent and constant work that has meant that we have also been able to celebrate our 60th birthday surrounded by so many people. We are talking about professionals from different fields: art, decoration, cleaning, catering, electricity, masonry, painting and many more.
We have always believed that partnerships are necessary and always add and enrich, and this edition has shown it: Yecla City Council; the Regional Ministry of Enterprise, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson, through the Directorate General for Trade and Business Innovation; the Regional Association of Furniture and Wood Entrepreneurs of the Region of Murcia (AREMA); the Official Association of Commercial Agents (COAC) of the Region of Murcia; the Official Association of Interior Designers / Decorators of the Region of Murcia (CODID-RM); the Technological Centre of Furniture and Wood of the Region of Murcia (CETEM) and the National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain (ANIEME) and the Yecla Wine Route. As well as the associations of traders who have gathered from different autonomous communities and a host of strategic agents of the sector. THANK YOU!
We would like to make a special mention in these thanks to the Instituto de Fomento (INFO) of the Region of Murcia, with whom we have been working together for many years to make the brand ‘Región de Murcia’ and the Murcian furniture more and more visible and recognisable all over the world. One more year, we have received the visit of European prescribers thanks to the INFO reverse trade mission, and thanks to our virtual platform we have connected with reference markets such as the Asian and African markets. We have to thank the media, of course, for their support, work and attention they have always given to the Yecla Furniture Fair, both personally at our show, with your live coverage, news coverage and interviews, as well as outside of it. A communication campaign that has been developed with the support and work of the agency 2 Veces Marketing. Without you, we would not have been able to reach such a high level, 60 years later.
