    Premier de la película 'Stream'

FMY has collaborated with “Stream”, Sergio Pereda’s film shot in Yecla, which premiered at the opening of the Murcia European Fantastic Film Festival

The feature film features the Yecla-based production company Wild Lemon Films and was shot in the Altiplano for a week.

THE FAIR HAS COLLABORATED AND MEDIATED IN PROVIDING THE FURNITURE

The Yecla Furniture Fair (FMY) has collaborated with the feature film “Stream”, directed by Sergio Pereda and partly shot in Yecla, with the participation of a Yecla-based production company, Wild Lemon Films. On 8th March, members of the FMY’s executive team attended the premiere of this film at the Filmoteca Regional de Murcia, as the film was the opening film of the European Fantastic Film Festival of Murcia, better known as ‘Sombra‘.

Yecla’s fair, as well as the furniture and timber companies, decided to support local talent, in this case within the field of cinema: on the one hand, by collaborating with the film, and on the other hand, by mediating with exhibiting companies to provide the furniture required for filming.

This is further proof of FMY’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its commitment to the social environment and the city of Yecla, as well as to everything new and innovative that takes place there, such as this film, which will spread the name of the city beyond our borders.

    ‘Stream’, a multi-screen, hand-held camera narration

“Stream”, starring Jesús Ruiz, Cris Gallego, Iria Orejudo, Mar P. Soler, Miki Cidoncha, David Para and Rodrigo Prieto, features a “multi-screen” narrative, innovating within the genre in Spain. Besides, the hand-held camera technique makes the audience feel the scene and the fear in a more intimate way. This narrative style is reminiscent of great films of the genre such as “The Blair Witch Project” or “Paranormal Activity”.

As the protagonist, Rodrigo Prieto, an actor and musician with millions of followers on his social networks, plays Craven, an “influencer” with thousands of followers on “Pentagram”, a live broadcasting platform on which he has conceived a unique and very special “stream” to celebrate Halloween.

In the end, explains the production company, “when reacting to a video by Pentagram – apparently consisting of a group of young paranormal investigators – no one expects the live experience to turn into the worst night of their lives. And perhaps… their last”.
