Founding member of Lagula arquitectes , a firm whose practice deals with projects of all types and scales, for public and private clients. Lagula combines the architectural production with research and national university teaching (UPC, UPM, IAAC, ELISAVA) and international (Tsinghua University of Beijing, AAVA London, Georgia Tech School of Architecture, Tongji University of Shanghai).
The work of Lagula arquitectes seeks to be attentive to the site and reflective about the programmatic conditions. Through a practice based on an unconventional use of traditional materials and techniques. The architectural cultural fact is faced through an intense idealistic pragmatism. With the intention of linking the social character with the sense of the landscape, from the specificity of the local environment and culture.
Lagula Arquitectes has been awarded in national and international architectural competitions, such as the Patum Museum; Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Lagula Arquitectes has participated as a speaker in congresses and conferences. Its work has been recognized in the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture; at the FAD awards, at the European Architecture and Landscape Biennial, at the Venice Biennale, and through various general and specialized media from around the world.
